Sarah Palin’s Alaska is not Refudiated

Sarah Palin’s Alaska, a documentary series starring the former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, kicked off this Sunday and drew in approximately 5 million viewers for TLC, which was the highest premiere in the network’s history.
Here are the demos:
- 1.8 million adults 25-54
- 1.6 million adults 18-49
The documentary is targeted to be family friendly and present the natural setting of Alaska. The adventurous direction is not a bad way to go. Shows from the Discovery channel are geared for action and have pretty good ratings. “Mythbusters” and “Storm Chasers” are among them and it’s the curious mind that draws the viewers in. Admit it or not, curiousity keeps you attached to some shows, even if it’s not your cup of tea.
And sometimes you may end up becoming a fan.
This premiere video shows her encounter with bears. She says she feels similar to them because of the way they protect their young. Then as the bears began to fight she says it’s telling him to “get the heck outta here!”
We won’t know what to expect from the series except the rise of Sarah Palin outside the political realm. Her word, “refudiate” also garnered attention from her twitter post and now it’s been added to the New Oxford American Dictionary.
