New York Times is definitely a successful online/print organization and is adding a new category to its triumph title– tweetaholics.

NYT streams or in twitter terms “tweets” videos, photos, and breaking news stories every less than an hour on the social media site allowing followers to not only stay up-to-date on news but be able to continuously forward tips, story idea, and story photos to the organization.

Posts by New York Times give followers such intriguing leads then link their online site for the remaining part of the story which leads to readers staying interested in their tweets and online website.

New York Times Twitter

With 2,652,339  2,652,489 followers to date, it’s only a matter of time before the organization forgoes continuous use of its online site and sticks to the 140 character phenomenon. It’s evident New York Times is doing something correct when it has triple the amount of followers than Jesus does.
