SI.com = Colorful

Sports Illustrated is probably the most colorful site I’ve seen. There is a sort of illumination that pulls you into the site. When you come across the homepage there the photo gallery immediately catches your eye. There are large High definition photos scrolling across the front page. These draw the reader into the site and the stories on the site.

The photo gallery will automatically scroll like a slide show.

Also when you go onto every major section whether it be college football, the NBA, MLB, etc, the same type of slide show is on every page. When you click on the a picture in the slide show it acts a link to a story. For example, clicking a picture in the slide show about
college football rankings would bring you to this page

Sports Illustrated uses photos both as links and a way to draw users and readers in. Well done SI, well done.
