Newsday's Election coverage

Newsday.com maybe become beyond crazy with pay walls but the site has  highly interactive elections coverage with allowing visitors to submit photos, issues with voting, and find out where to vote based on their address. It’s excellent that they give background on the candidates as well as their positions but having the information behind a pay wall defeats the purpose of having site visitors remain interested in the site’s coverage.

iReport Election Project

Cnn.com has visitors conducting an iReport Election project,  which has visitors doing challenges during a countdown to election day including taking photos of political signs, dress as politicians, and showing your political position based on colors. Cnn also has a live blog on WordPress that is giving a minute-to-minute updates of the election as well as results.’

  • Twitter sites such as: @CNNPolitics, @CBSNEWS have live coverage of the elections and has users giving their reactions/comments.
